Monique Hollinshead, lecturer and costumier crossed over into the fashion world and was commissioned by Mama's and Papa's to design and develop the 'Preganancy Corset' which was piloted in their London Bond Street store in 2006.
The corsets are used in the dressing rooms to be worn for newly pregnant women to try on the range of fashion garments displayed in their stores.
Karen assisted Monique in producing sixty four corsets to be used in Mama's and Papa's UK stores and five which are in their Dubai store.
The pregnancy corset won an award.
Emma Bunton of the Spice Girls was contracted to be the face of Mama's and Papa's Autum and Winter collection 2007. Unfortunatley Monique could not make the appointment to fit the collection on Emma, so Karen jumped at the chance to zoom down to London for the day! Emma was very sweet and polite and looked amazing in the garment she selected.
