Television
Karen worked for the designer Sue Smith as a printer and costume maker on Yorkshire television's "My Parents are Aliens" and "Scratch and Sniffs Den of Doom".
Karen has assisted Monique Hollinshead on making an Astronaut costume for Yorkshire television's Emmerdale.
She also assisted with constructing the padded foundation garment and material dyeing for 'Head lice' television advertisement which ran in the summer 2007.
Theatre
Karen has worked in the wardrobe department at the West Yorkshire Playhouse supporting the staff and producing costumes and costume props for a variety of shows.
In collaboration with Monique Hollinshead, Karen has assisted in making costumes and costume props for Northern Ballet Theatre's 'A Sleeping Beauty Tale' and 'The Nutcracker'.
Recently Karen has produced practice skirts for Pheonix Dance Company's new pieces influenced by American dance.
